Simon Burgers was born on the 12th of March in 1958, in The Hague.
Education
He studied the piano from 1975 until 1977 with Chris Veelo, further until 1979 with Leendert Huges at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Then he studied until 1985 composition at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Klaas de Vries.

Simon Burgers was born on the 12th of March in 1958, in The Hague.
Education
He studied the piano from 1975 until 1977 with Chris Veelo, further until 1979 with Leendert Huges at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Then he studied until 1985 composition at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Klaas de Vries. Moreover, from 1979 he studied the Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam. In 1983 he got his B.A. degree; in 1985 his master degree, both cum laude.
Compositions
Simon Burgers has composed a wide range of works, including songs, chamber music, orchestral works, stage music and film music (Vroeger is dood by Ine Schenkkan).
