Nedly Elstak

Elstak drops out of law school and becomes one of the first Dutch DJ's who's interested in house music. In the late '80s he starts making his own hardcore house music. He does this under the names The Timedrillers, The Unknown and also Holy Noise (together with Peter Slaghuis). His popularity as a DJ and producer is increasing in countries such as Australia, Germany and the US.

Holy Noise

Elstak starts his own label, Rotterdam Records, which is the first gabber label in the world. In the Netherlands he is now nicknamed 'gabber god'.

During a holiday in Italy Elstak gets the idea to combine Mediterranean-style music with hardcore house.

Elstak has his first hit record with Life Is Like A Dance, which is sung by Shaydie. He also starts performing himself and has three more Top 10 hits during this year. Elstak is also awarded the Zilveren ('Silver') Harp music award.

Shaydie is replaced by Lindsay and MC Irvin. Elstak continues his successes. By the end of this year he announces that he will stop working as a performer. Lindsay and MC Irvin can be seen on stage while Elstak concentrates on his work off stage.

After a short break Elstak returns to the limelight with the single Get This Place. After that he comes up with the idea to combine gabber music with punk rock. On his next two single de DJ works together with Dutch punk rock group Teenage Warning. They record the Pennywise cover Brohymn and the single If The Kids Are United. Elstak is also involved in the production of a book about the gabber scene.

Dj Rob

Elstak's new single is called Fuck You Up.

Elstak benefits from the renewed popularity of gabber, which is now referred to as hardcore. He spins his records at parties like A NightMare In Rotterdam, Hardcore 4 Life and the Belgian Project Hardcore.

2005 - 2007

The EP Furious Anger is a collaboration with DJ D and the EP Hardcore By Nature is produced together with J.D.A. (Leon Hoeks). In the spring of 2007 the double album Show No Fear is in the charts for two weeks.
