The Partysquad is the Amsterdam duo DJ Jerry (Jerry Leembruggen) and MC Ruben (Ruben Fernhout) a.k.a. Ruby Funkdoobie. Their productions contain a mix of hiphop, reggae(ton), bubbling and R & B. In their own Goodlife studio they produce successful hiphop records, with guest contributions by the cream of the crop of the Dutch hiphop scene. Jerry and Ruben also have their own urban company Fernwood & Leembridges, which organizes events and promotional activities for others and runs a recording studio.
The Amsterdam duo DJ Jerry (Jerry Leembruggen) and MC Ruben work together for the first time at the Club Margaritas in the center of the Dutch capital. Other Dutch clubs are soon to follow. The Partysquad's first mix album is released in early January 2000, followed by mix albums in 2001 and 2002. The CD UK Sounds (2002) contains an urban mix with contributions by Ebon-E, Lady Bee, Gomes & MC Vin-E and Vigilante. The Partysquad performs at the Innercity and Ambassador, as support act to 50 Cent and Kanye West, and also abroad, including Portugal, Spain, the Dutch Antilles and Morocco. The duo has its own radio show on youth station FunX. The single Wat Wil Je Doen (featuring De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig's Willie Wartaal, Spacekees, Darryll, The Art-officials, The Opposites and The Heist-rockah) is the title song of the 2005 feature film Het Schnitzelparadijs.

The single I'm Sorry (January) is made in collaboration with RMXCRW's Ambush and R & B vocalist Gio. On 1 March DJ Jerry, MC Ruben and Kees de Koning start Goodlife Music, which is both a record label and a platform for urban related events. The Partysquad makes it into the charts with the single Rampeneren, featuring rapper Ali B and his cousin Yes-R (April). The Partysquad also contributes to the single Hard To Get by singer Gio. Dat Is Die Shit (August) contains contributions by Darryl, G.I.O., Negativ and Nino. The debut album De Bazen Van De Club comprises all of the singles and features guest artists Brainpower, DiceCream, Ziggi, Negativ, popular Dutch language singer Peter Beense, Lange Frans, Kempi and K-liber4life.

Brainpower is also featured on the single Non Stop (January). DiceCream and Nino appear in one of the remixes of the song. In the night of Monday 28 May The Partysquad studio in Zaandam is burgled and computers, recording equipment, microphones, CD players, mixers and other equipment are stolen. The Partysquad do the production for Zakenman (June), rapper Yes-R's second album. De group is one of the acts at the concert Petje Af, organized by rapper Ali B at the Tilburg Festival Mundial on 15 June. The concert supports the charity Plan's campaign 'Stop Global Violence Against Children'. In October The Partysquad is the winner of two TMF Awards: the TMF Pure Award for the best urban act and the TMF Radio Hit Award for the song Non Stop.
The Partysquad produces the title song for director Johan Nijenhuis' feature film Alibi (February), starring Georgina Verbaan, Egbert Jan Weeber and Achmed Akkabi. In June the duo releases a mix album. The Partysquad & SLAM FM present: Total Loss, De Mixtape, Volume I contains 36 tracks with a mixture of dance and up-tempo hiphop. In the summer the duo travels to holiday resorts in southern Europe and the Caribbean for fifty shows in two months at parties in clubs on the Spanish, Greek, Italian, Turkish, Surinam and Curaçao coasts. In September Jerry Leembruggen is seriously injured on Ibiza when his car veers off the road and crashes. He is in a coma for six weeks, and because of a partial loss of memory it takes him over a year to reacquaint himself with his DJ setup and a great deal of the duo's music from the past.
On 19 June Total Los: De Mixtape, Volume II is released. It features contributions by Dutch acts like Sidney Samson, Afrojack, The Opposites and Lange Frans, but also has a special collaboration with the American soul singer Erykah Badu. A collaboration with the Hollywood hiphop crew LMFAO is also released as a single. Following the release of De Mixtape they appear in the TMF Total Los Zomertour at clubs in the Netherlands, Spain, Greece and Turkey.
On 21 June a recovered Jerry Leembruggen makes his comeback behind his turntables at a specially organized party at the Amsterdam Club Air (formerly known as the iT). Many special guests put in an appearance, including The Opposites, Dio, Sidney Samson, Vage Gasten, Bassjackers, Don Diablo, The Flexican & Sef (Flinke Namen) and Alvaro. The Partysquad joins forces with Big2 and The Opposites' Willem to shoot a music video in Spain for the summer single Welkom Terug. The duo does a six week tour of popular bathing resorts in Spain, Italy, Greece, Surinam, Curaçao and Aruba.
