Tatjana Simic moves from Zagreb to Rotterdam with her mother and sister. She works as a city guide and at the local department for sport and recreation. She also wins her first modelling contest (for Dutch weekly Panorama).
Besides her work as a model she also acts in several commercials. Then she is contacted by Dutch film director/producer Dick Maas for a role in his new film Flodder.
Flodder is a comedy about the antisocial Flodder family who are moved into a posh residential neighbourhood. The film is a big hit, not only in the Netherlands but also in Germany and various other European countries. Simic becomes an international sex symbol.
Simic has taken up singing lessons and releases her first single Baby Love.
The single Chica Cubana is a European Top 10 hit. Tatjana plays a small role in a German film (Starke Zeiten).
Awake Boy also hits the charts.
Tatjana plays the part of Suzy in the Dutch film My Blue Heaven.
Simic and Dutch singer Gerard Joling record the classic Can't Take My Eyes Off You. The single reaches number 3 of the Dutch charts and is also a hit in various other European countries.
Dick Maas begins shootings for a TV series about the Flodder household. Simic tours South Africa and the Far East and in Miami she shoots the video for her new hit single Feel Good. Simic's debut album with the same title is released on the Dureco label.
The publication of the first Tatjana calendar. The film Flodder In Amerika ('Flodder In The US') is also a box office hit in both the Netherlands and Germany.
Tatjana teams up with Dutch beer brewer Bavaria: people buying 36 bottles of beer get a free Tatjana calendar. UK producers Mick Stock and Matt Aitken produce Tatjana's new single Santa Maria, which becomes a hit in the Netherlands, the UK and Japan. The third Flodder film is a box office hit. Simic records the Calendar Girl for Bavaria.
Tatjana's biography and her new album New Look come out.
The single Wait and Wonder comes out, followed by a new album later in the year. Tatjana supports the refugees of Kosovo by selling calendars and appearing as a guest in various TV shows.
Red Bullet releases the singles Be There In Time and Beautiful. The CD-ROM Tatjana Baila Baila comes out featuring Tatjana's new single Baila Baila, videos, a calendar and a screensaver.
On 1 September Tatjana presents her DVD My Own Story, which features a documentary about her visit to Croatia in 2001, videos, scenes from Flodder and various other highlights from her career.
In her book Jij! (You!) Tatjana writes openly about her difficult childhood in Croatia. One year later Tatjana's Student cookbook is published with recipes for 'people on a tight budget and with little experience in cooking' and includes recipes against a hangover.
Towards the end of the year Tatjana's first Dutch language single is released. Ik Laat Je Gaan (I Let You Go) precedes an album which is released in 2008. Tatjana is inspired by Croatian popstar Tony Cetinski.
