The band's success is on the increase and the singles A Girl Like You and And Her Name Is… become sizable hits.
The single Capital Punishment becomes a major hit for the band. They sign a deal with the UK's Page One label, hoping for an international breakthrough. Although the LP Shipwreck is well received, its sales are disappointing. The single North Canadian Paradise does not reach the charts.
Sandy Coast signs a record deal with Polydor and the singles True Love That's A Wonder and Just A Friend rocket to the top of the charts. The LP Sandy Coast is high in the album charts.
Sandy Coast keeps up their success with Just Two Little Creatures and Summertrain.
The album Stonewall is welcomed coolly upon its release and the single Blackboard Jungle does not enter the charts.
The band splits up and Jan and Hans Vermeulen form Rainbow Train.

Sandy Coast performs at the Beatnight in The Hague and decides to reform.
The Eyes Of Jenny marks their return as hit providers.
The band reforms regularly to perform at Back To The Sixties-festivals.
