Biography San Andreas

San Andreas is an emocore band from Rotterdam that gets raving reviews throughout Europe with debut album The Lover Kills. In the spring of 2006 the band tours the US for the first time.

2004 - 2005

Stephan Kruithof sings in the band Soporific and is roadie for bands like The Apers, Face Tomorrow and Green Lizard. After Soporific, he forms San Andreas, a band that combines emo, screamo and hardcore. The band's debut album is recorded in bedrooms of the band members, except for the drums, which are recorded in the studio. Before The Lover Kills is released, San Andreas tours the UK for the first time in the last week of February 2005. The album gets good reviews from the music press. A second UK tour follows in July 2005 with 22 shows in three weeks. Throughout 2005 San Andreas plays over 100 gigs in the Netherlands. The band also supports the likes of Green Lizard, Face Tomorrow, Emanuel and Colour of Fire. In November 2005 Squash Records, the band's very own label, closes a worldwide deal with CM Distro from Germany.
