Powerrock trio from Eindhoven with a preference for (early) AC/DC.
Peter Pan is formed by former Life On Grey singer/guitarist Piet van Elderen, drummer Bart Nederhand and bassist Bob Muileboom.
Peter Pan's first album is released on Virgin. The trio tours with Motorpsycho and Dead Moon. After the group has broken with Virgin bassist Bob Muileboom is replaced by Bart Geevers.
The second album, Rocketfuel, is released on the Marista label. Peter Pan plays speedrock that can be compared with bands like Nashville Pussy, the Hellacopters from Sweden and Norwegian band Gluecifer.

Peter Pan performs at the Dynamo Open Air and tours the Dutch clubs. The 10" vinyl EP Homesteel, which gets good reviews from the international press, is released on the stonerrock label Drunken Maria Records.
The group goes on an extensive club tour of the Netherlands and releases the new album Killermachine. The album is louder and ruder than its predecessor but gets positive reviews.
Peter Pan leaves a good impression at South By South West (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. The single Action is simultaneously released on vinyl and as a CD-single. On the CD-single is also a cover of The Ace Of Spades in the Dutch language. Early November the new album Premium Quality Serve Loud! comes out.
Peter Pan Speedrock plays at the Roskilde festival in Denmark. The group also releases the cover album Speedrock Chart Busters Vol. 1, which contains covers from bands like Misfits, Turbonegro, The Cult, Led Zeppelin and Butthole Surfers. Also, (together with label mates the Spades) they're invited again to play at SXSW in 2003.
Hot on the heels of its SXSW show, in March the band plays a few extra US dates. Before they embark on their US trip the band finishes off its new album. In June the band plays at the Pinkpop festival. After a domestic tour in October, including a support slot for Motörhead (013, Tilburg, October 22), Peter Pan Speedrock tours the US from October 31-December 2. Supporting fellow trash rockers Nashville Pussy the trio tours the West Coast and Canada. Their Swiss and Austrian tour is postponed to early 2004.
Peter Pan Speedrock plays at the Noorderslag festival in January. On February 10 the band receives a Golden Harp (industry award). Next the threesome tours Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. In March Peter Pan Speedrock plays at the Save Tibet Now! benefit in Amsterdam. With The Shavers and Green Hornet they embark on the short Jack Daniels tour. Bitzcore Records releases the sampler Loud, Mean, Fast & Dirty, featuring highlights from the first four albums. In June the band plays both the Parkpop in the Hague festival and Germany's With Full Force.
In February Peter Pan Speedrock stays for a month in Sweden to cut new album Spread Eagle with Swedish top producer Tomas Skogsberg (of the Hellacopters and Entombed-fame). It comes out in Mid April and is preceded by the March-released split album with Zeke. Around that time the band embarks with fellow sleazebags Danko Jones and El Guapo Stuntteam on the short Jack Daniel's Rock Night tour (3rd edition) through the Benelux countries. Between the release of the two albums Peter Pan Speedrock performs live at SXSW, based on a last-minute invitation. On May 21 at the National Musicians Day in Amsterdam's Melkweg club Peter van Elderen wins a Devil (musicians to musicians) Award (established by the Dutch Rock & Pop Institute) for 'Best Guitarist.' With Osdorp Posse's Def P Peter Pan Speedrock releases a song for Tibet. It's made for the Ticket To Tibet festival on August 28 in Aquabest in the province of Brabant. Peter Pan Speedrock finishes off the year with the second edition of the travelling festival Revenge of the Rock&Roll Monsters (December 8-18). On the bill are befriended bands such as Black Rodeo and 69Charger plus Belgium's 50 Foot Combo and Berlin's Mad Sin.
As of March Peter Pan Speedrock tours France and Scandinavia. Bart Gevers wins a Devil Award, marking a historic first: all band members have got one Devil now. All Peter Pan Speedrock members have now won a Duiveltje (Devil) award. On November 11 the documentary Speedfreak Manifesto about the band's career, is released on DVD. The DVD also includes videos and commercials. On December 2 the band organises the first edition of Speedfest. Performing bands include The Exploited, Nashville Pussy, Demented Are Go, Tech-9, El Guapo Stuntteam, Bang Bang Bazooka and Bad Preachers.
Spread Eagle is released in North America on Prophase Music label. In the spring the band can be seen at the (domestic) Paaspop festival and at the German festivals With Full Force, Rheinkultur and Traffic Jam.
On 29 November the third edition of the rock-'n-roll festival Speedfest takes place in Eindhoven. Again, Peter Pan Speedrock is involved in the organisation and is also one of the 15 bands that perform at the festival. At Speedfest the band presents Cross Contamination, a split-CD with Batmobile, on which the bands cover each others songs.
The new Danish label What Happened To The Reason For Screaming Records releases a 10” featuring eight Danish bands playing their version of the Peter Pan Speedrock track Heatseaker. The release is celebrated on 5 September with a show in Copenhagen. Peter Pan Speedrock releases a tribute to Dutch rock 'n' roller/producer Peter Koelewijn with a show performed on top of a roof in Eindhoven, Koelewijn's birthplace. It's exactly fifty years ago that Koelewijn's hit single Kom Van Dat Dak Af (Get Off The Roof) was recorded. After shows in Belgium, France and Germany (Münster), the band organises the fouth edition of Speedfest in Eindhoven. The bill includes bands like Death Angel, Karma To Burn, G.B.H., New Bomb Turks and The Shavers. In December the band tours in Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria.
