4	The New Earth Group
The New Earth Group is an instrumental ensemble from Rotterdam. The band mixes a wide range of musical styles, such as jazz, Afro pop, punk rock, funk, fusion and dub. They take their inspiration from artists and bands like Frank Zappa, Fela Kuti, John McLaughlin, Jimi Hendrix, Weather Report, The Mars Volta, King Crimson and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Their successful performance at the 2009 Noorderslag festival is released on CD. Their third album Eurafricarabia is nominated for the 2010 Edison audience
5	Tielman Brothers
an increasingly spectacular stage act, very much like the ones by the Who and Jimi Hendrix a few years later. After Germany the Tielman Brothers also break Switzerland, Austria and Sweden. In the meantime other Indo-rock bands also start to break through both nationally and internationally. The Tielman Brothers are a top act in Germany and they are highly respected by their peers. as drummer of 16 Down and funk band Bakzilla. 16Down still plays its Radiohead set too. In September 16 Down plays four shows of Jimi Hendrix tributes. Frontman Marco Hovius develops a pop/rock workshop. The band works on new CD Flow, slated for a 2007 release. In August 16Down leaves for San Francisco to record its third studio album in the Prairie Sun Studio's. On 19 January 16Down presents new album F.L.O. in Hedon, Zwolle.
