1988 - 2009

In 1988 Dylan Hermelijn (Haarlem, 16 June 1968) starts producing albums under various pseudonyms, including Planet Gong and 2000 And One. He finds inspiration in the music of Armando, Carl Craig and Lil' Louis. Together with Gert-Jan Schonewille he releases techno under the name Edge Of Motion. He starts his own 100% Pure label with Sandy Hüner in 1993. On this he releases their joint productions as Babies From Gong. Following acid house and techno Hermelijn produces drum 'n' bass for a number of years. In the late nineties he quits the music scene for a while and works as an account manager for Cisco Systems. The minimal techno DJ sets by Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano at the 2003 Dance Valley festival inspire him to make records again. His productions Pecan and Tropical Melons are picked up by international DJs in 2007. 2000 And One's debut album Heritage is finally released in 2009.
