Biography Das Oath

Das Oath is an extreme hardcore band whose members come from New York and the Netherlands (drummer Marcel Wiebenga (Oil) and Jeroen Vrijhoef (ex-Mainstrike, label boss Coalition Records)). The music from Das Oath is a combination of hardcore, noise and 70s punk rock. After self-releasing a single, Das Oath now releases records on leading and progressive hardcore labels like Dim Mak and Gold Standard Laboratories. The band extensively tours Europe, the US and Japan and shares the bill with kindred spirits like The Locust, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Total Fury and JR Ewing. Mark McCoy and Jeff Jellen make punk/electroclash under the name VMW (Virgin Mega Whores). Also known under the name The Oath.
