Biography Beatriz Aguiar Band

Beatriz Aguiar is born in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 1990 she moves to the Netherlands where she tours with the likes of Candombe, Guitarras del Cordón, Ropes For Teals, Cu-bop City Band and Nueva Manteca. As a singer she is involved in various projects in Hilversum, New York and Havana. She composes songs for people like Leonardo Amuedo and Laura Fygi. Aguiar can also be heard on albums by the likes of Adalberto Santiago, David Rothchild (from the band Rumbatá), Laura Fygi, Isaac Delgado and she also performs at festivals like the Aruba Jazz Festival, Toros y Salsa Festival (France), Salsa, Latin & More (Berlin), Thessaloniki Carnaval (Greece), Festival Benny Moré (Cuba) and North Sea Jazz in the Netherlands. She is also part of Rumbatá. With her own band she plays a large variety of Latin American genres.
