Biography 24K
Hiphop group that releases the first ever Dutch hip-hop album. Their songs, which are full of political statements, and hardcore approach are very successful.
1989
Rappers ENB and Arc S, beat creator Zar One and DJ One Too (also spelled as Wan Two) form 24K. The band records some demo, which come under the attention of Saskia Slegers, a young woman who works in a record store in Eindhoven. She is so impressed by what she hears that she decides to start her own record label in order to release the band's songs. In December 24K goes into the studio.
1990
Januari sees the release of 24K's successful debut 'No Enemies', which is also the first Dutch hip-hop album. Copies are sold as hotcakes and the album is an instant success. The band goes on a tour of the Netherlands.
1991
Rapper Arc S and beat creator Zar One leave the band and are replaced by rapper CMC.
1992
24K's second album 'Words Yet Unspoken' is released, but success fails. Later this year the band splits up. Rapper D-Rock (who can only be heard on 'Words Yet Unspoken') joins 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor in 1993. DJ One2 later takes part in the Grote Prijs van Nederland (Grand Prix of the Netherlands). He is also part of DJ and producer team Spinmasters and he co-produces rapper Kempi's debut album Du Zoon (2008).
