Biography 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor

Dutch dance-act formed by producers Bobby en Martin Boer that scores international hits with euro dance and happy hardcore.

1990

Brothers Bobby and Martin Boer release Can't Help Myself, big international hit. On stage they are accompanied by rapper Da Smooth Baron MC and singers Peggy 'The Duchess' and Gale Robinson.

1993

After a two year break the brothers make a comeback with their new single Never Alone and a different line-up: rapper D-Rock (ex-24K) en singer Des'Ray (ex-Totally Organised Trendy Bobbers). Never Alone reaches gold.

1994

2 Brothers On The 4th Floor The single Dreams becomes number one in the Dutch charts in the summer and is the band's most successful song so far. An album by the same name is also released that summer.

1995

Des'Ray graduates with distinction from the music academy.

1996

2 Brothers On The 4th Floor Fairytales is postponed due to problems with the video. Mirror Of Love is released in July and followed by There Is A Key. There Is A Key is re-released for Christmas and has the appropriate title Christmas Time.

1997

The r&b-influenced single One Day is released. I'm Thinkin' Of U becomes the band's thirteenth top-10 hit.

1998

The brother's fourteenth single, Do You Know, is released in March. July sees the release of the song The Sun Will Be Shining, which reaches number 23 in the Dutch charts.

1999

Success is becoming less obvious. With the newly released single Heaven Is Here, they go back to their old sound. The song, however, does not get into the charts.

2001

The single Stand Up And Live, precedes the band's third album.

2002

After eight successful years 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor calls it quits. Des'ray, Anita Doth (2 Unlimited) and Linda Estelle (T-Spoon) form the Diva's Of Dance after performing together for Stichting Doe Een Wens ('Make A Wish Foundation'). They sing dance and disco classics from the '80s and '90s completed with their own hits.

Des'Ray and D-Rock perform as 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor again.

2007

2 Brothers On The 4th Floor continue the reunion tour.
